TraX Technical Notes
Welcome to thoses notes. They will explain you how TraX physically work and allow you
to have more fun with it.
- How TraX consider my displacement ?
Left displacement is the number of step that the left wheel physically moves. Right
displacement is the number of step that the right wheel physically moves. The difference
between right and left displacement defines the radius of the rotation circle of the
robot. If is 0 the robot goes straight, otherwise it turns.
- How much difference produce a complete circle ?
Actually, a difference of 96 (left : 0, right : 96) or (left : -48, right : 48) produce a
full circle.
- How do I use the zoom function ?
The zoom function allow you to view the robot with more details, especially the tracks of
each wheel. To use zoom, right click somewhere in the robot window. You will see this zone
with a bigger zoom. To undo zoom, reclick with right button in the same place.
- I set a displacement of 3 and robot doesn't move ?
You must set more than 3 of total displacement between right and left wheel to move the
robot.
